November is nearly half over, stores are "decking their halls," people are complaining about how cold it is all of a sudden, and everything is rushed...there aren't enough hours in the day for some.
Personally, I welcome the "fall" in temperatures. It's a reminder that the Earth, in all her glorious beauty, is preparing to rest, to strengthen, to do whatever she needs to so Spring can happen.
When I was a child, one of my favorite things to do was create paper snowflakes. To this day, I remember how to fold that perfect triangle to get the perfect snowflake. It would take sometimes hours to perfect the folds, where I cut, how I cut. The end result was always the same. A snowflake that was beautiful, and regardless of how hard I tried to duplicate them, they were all different.
I've put my own spin on the 30 days of thankfulness this year. I'm featuring a different person of difference on my Facebook page. This has been a wonderful journey for me to see photos of those I love who have made a difference in my life. Each, as those snowflakes I made so long ago, is special. No two people who have crossed my path have touched my life in the same way.
I'm blessed in that I have long-term internet friends (15+ years), reconnected with people I went to high school with, have business acquaintances in several areas, and those balcony people who have adopted me as their own---those I consider family. That family stretches from Dublin, Ireland to Australia, from Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, the UK, most provinces in Canada and most all of the 50 states.
So, my snowflake friends, on this cold November morning, I thank you for being uniquely you, for shining your brilliance into my life, and for not giving up on me when I've given up on myself.
Just a reminder...be watching Facebook and my website for announcements regarding the releases of Sultry Sensations, Book 3 of the Acorn Hills series, and Holiday Hide and Seek, the companion novella. Both will be on the market in a few short days! Purchase links will be added here to the website
