I've been following the news on CNN most of today (thanks Andrew). Such sad news out of Ottawa, Ontario Canada. The honour guard at the Canadian War Memorial shot dead in a senseless act of terrorism, others injured at Parliament. Even though one gunman is dead, there is suspicions of more on the loose.
I remember fondly my trip to Toronto last week...and how many times I thought and voiced how lovely that city is and how safe I felt, even when crossing the border! This is proof that no country, no person anywhere in the world is safe from terrorism (in whatever form.)
Today I also received notice of the untimely death of a friend. I send heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Diane Goodlow. You will be missed by many.
I had planned on blogging about Toronto and all of the wonderful things I experienced while there, but somehow today just doesn't seem the time to do that...so I leave you with this photo of autumn and these words...
Hug those close to you a little tighter, tell those who are important to you how much they mean to you and how much you love them. We aren't guaranteed tomorrow or even our next breath.
In that light, I say to you all, I value each of you who have crossed my path and appreciate the affect you have had in my life. With peace and love in my heart for you all, may you be blessed.
Until next time,
Grace
