The Bifrost Bridge by James Bradley Clarke
What a wonderful way to begin a sunny winter Saturday morning....fresh coffee, strawberry scones and a wonderful fairy tale! Not since The Princess Bride has there been a story that old and young alike can immerse themselves in and be transported to a magical kingdom. James Bradley Clarke has done just that with his new book, The Bifrost Bridge. It has all of the elements of a fairy tale...princesses, evil trolls, magic and a happy ending. The other thing I noticed in this magnificent work was the strong, loving male presence of fathers who love their daughters. I thoroughly enjoyed the infusion of Norse mythology that Clarke wove through the story line of these Dane and Norse royal families. I highly recommend this book; a very good gift to those who have a little princess. A great bedtime story! It is a feel good happily ever after that leaves you wanting to know what the next adventure of the cousin princesses will be.
