May is filled with the newness of life....leaves appear over night on the trees, bulbs are up and in some cases filling the gardens with vibrant colors. May is also a very busy month for florists. I hit the floor running Wednesday and finally stopped at 9 pm last night. Prom was last night and we had approximately 100 corsages and boutonnieres to create, each a work of art, each designed for the individual who ordered it.
Tomorrow begins Mothers' Day week. A gentle reminder, please, if you are planning on ordering flowers or blooming plants or hanging baskets, order early! Do not wait for the last minute to call...your florists will be gracious and take your order, but will love you more if you phone tomorrow to place an order for delivery! High school and college graduations will be the 3rd week of May. This brings flowers for the ceremonies, centerpieces for receptions, balloons to show where the receptions are, especially if they are outside. I am holding intentions for great weather for all of these festivities. The fourth week of May is devoted to Memorial Day....that time when we remember our loved ones who have passed from this life to their eternal resting place. Outdoor planters with an assortment of blooming and green plants will be created and placed at cemeteries as well as fresh and silk arrangement that will pay tribute to our loved ones. Toss into the mix a couple weddings, a few confirmations, weather good enough to get out and enjoy....it is all a very good thing. Don't forget, if you haven't ordered your copy of Mystic Capers, please do so. I would be more than happy to send you an autographed copy. All you have to do is leave your name and a comment on the contact page. Payment can be made through paypal or directly to me. Sultry Sensations, book 3 of the Acorn Hills series is full steam ahead. Several chapters have been edited, I'm still working on getting Denise to cooperate (she has a mind of her own) and have ideas for Richard's book as well. Wishing you all a great week h
