This has been quite a year, hasn't it? My world changed in April, when my humans decided they needed to change residences. Let me tell you, I was not a happy kitteh! I lost all of my hiding places, the comfortable smells, and the mice...oh, the mice...sigh. I didn't really catch them, but they were fun to play with.
As I said, these new digs are nice, but it took me a while to warm up to the space. The noises are different, and those huge orange machines that humans stand on...I know Mom tried reassuring me, telling me I was safe and that "the lawnmower wouldn't get me," but it sure made my heart beat faster when I saw their truck coming!
For most of the year, I've been investigating this new place. I still hide under the bed when people come. I'm really not into people, I mean other than MY people. I've also played nurse. Poor Mom. I sit on her lap as much as I can and I lay on her right ankle when she goes to bed. There's only so much a kitteh can do, right? I do hope my kitteh purrs and loves help with the healing process.
I know Mom's been frustrated about writing. I also know (from conversations she's had with Auntie Joanne) she's working on a bunch of new stuff for 2017. She mentioned my cousin, Simon, may make a return appearance. If you remember, he was in the Diva Trilogy. **kitteh purrs** I love cousin Simon. He's so distinguished. I love bugging him. **paw to mouth snickers**
I suppose I better go back to my corner and work on my claws. I'm sure it will be time for a pedicure. Mom's good about that...like clockwork, every two weeks the nail clippers come out.
I know Mom would want me to tell you that 2017 will be a fabulous year with many new adventures for all of you readers...for us, too. My boy got a full-time job yesterday **kitteh paw high five**, Mom's feeling much better, winter is here so I have lots of birds, squirrels and other critters to watch. Yup, it will be a great beginning to a new year.
Remember, be kind to each other, spend time with your friends, and your fur babies, too. We love being loved and played with...and it only takes 15-30 minutes of playtime to satisfy us and make you feel all warm and cozy.
I love ya. Thanks for supporting and encouraging Mom. She loves bringing stories and characters to you that face real life issues. She's pretty cool like that...open, honest, and kind. You be that way, too.
Sending you all kitteh love, rubs, winks, and purrs.
HAPPY MEW YEAR!!!!!!! MEEEEEE-OOOOOW!
