I think each of us have many of these characteristics, especially if we are parents. We wear so many hats some days that we forget which one we're wearing!
Along that same line of thinking, we have many of these characteristics because as we mature our wisdom increases (I'd like to think so anyway). We transition from one to another with ease as we learn what we need to accomplish the tasks before us.
Whether we encompass one or many of these characteristics, it doesn't make us better or worse than our fellow human...it just makes us who we are...the unique creature that can only do what we were sent here to do.
As you think about that, please think about this. Friday is a special day this week. It is a day to do something kind for someone else. It is RAK...Random Acts of Kindness day. One of the things I've been doing for along time is paying for the person's order who is behind me in line at the drive up. Whether it be a meal or a coffee...it is something. There are many way of doing an RAK. Surprise someone who is having a difficult time with a plate of cookies or brownies or even a casserole. Pay for the person behind you in line. Offer to take a senior shopping and out to lunch...your treat. Call someone you haven't spoken with in a long time. Write a letter, an actual handwritten letter and mail it. Share on social media one good thing that has happened to you this week.
In this season of giving...may your spirit of giving increase. It doesn't always have to be a physical gift, it can be your presence. We fail miserably at this, don't we? Being "present" in conversation takes time. It takes our attention, and in our busy little worlds those two things are a precious commodity.
I promise you, though, if you take the time to be present in the presence of someone, you will be blessed by their presence.
Sharing the joy of love with you all. Until next time...Boo says be kind to each other.
