It's been 10 months since I began this wonderful literary journey. In that time, I've written 3 books, copyrighted, formatted, and published 2...and there will be 2 more that release in November!
Along with the above, I've been busy with my "real" job as a floral designer...and we have had a busy summer filled with weddings. It's delightful to be able to play at work and do what I love to do....create.
There are a lot more surprises on the horizon! I want to talk specifically about one that is coming up in September. It's a chance for all of you to meet some fabulous authors up close and personal! How does that sound?
Thanks to Cassie Bott, events planner, I've had the awesome opportunity to plan an book/wine/music event, Sunday, September 28 from 1-5 pm at our local Fireside Winery. We have an amazing line up of authors who will be there to talk to you about their books...and books will be available for sale as well. Mrs. Joanne Jaytanie, RWA chapter president of Debbie Macomber's home chapter in Silverdale, Washington, will be with us, as will RITA finalist, Kim Law, from the great state of Tennessee. Many local authors including Phil Hall, Kathryn Daugherty, Lori Lebda & Tami Bergerson, Wendy & Charles Siefken, and yours truly, will be onsite as well. We are hoping for great weather for a banner turn-out and want to make this an annual event. Joining us for the afternoon is a very talented local musician, Billy Heller. Cassie and the Fireside Winery staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about the wines that are made onsite, and keep your glasses filled!
I'm so excited about this event! I can't stress to you enough the importance of books and reading. The authors that are participating are "indie" authors...meaning they self publish. We have invited local TV and news media and encourage you to invite your friends and join us for an incredible afternoon!
This is only the beginning! I'm so blessed to be involved with the literary realm! 2015 has some amazing things in store for you readers and some opportunities of a lifetime as well.
The Acorn Hills series will forge ahead with Richard's Relics and Special Occasions and a couple 2nd generation books. I already have ideas for my next series and will reveal them soon after the new year.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement. Remember...if you read a book, please go to Amazon and Goodreads and leave reviews...also, please "like" the author pages at both sites. They help sales and they help author credibility. Until August....enjoy the rest of July!
With peace and tons of love,
Grace
